Masada Publishing was founded by longtime friends AJ Coleman and Ian Brennan. AJ is the author of Keep Those Feet Moving, a book inspired by his blog of the same name, which he started after losing his wife Cory to brain cancer when their daughter was just one-year-old. Ian was moved to partner with AJ after the unexpected loss of his younger cousin.. Together, AJ and Ian’s goal is to help as many people as possible as they navigate through their own stories grief, trauma, and the loss of a loved one.
Masada is an ancient fortress in southern Israel’s Judean Desert, situated on a massive plateau overlooking the Dead Sea. Known for its historical significance, the Masada is a symbol of resolve for the Israeli people and an important place of pilgrimage.
The path leading to the top of the Masada is grueling. Those who’ve reached the top understand the sense of triumph that follows.
Masada is symbolic for AJ because it’s where he rediscovered his faith — while hiking up the mountain in extreme heat. With each step forward, AJ felt little sensations throughout his body. Little did he know at the time that his faith was being restored.
As the founder of Keep Those Feet Moving, a book and blog dedicated to helping people overcome life’s challenges, AJ’s experience of summiting the Masada was life-changing. No matter how difficult the obstacles are, we all have to keep moving to reach the top.
